investor and the borrower. The field partner is a non-governmental
organisation or a non-profit microfinance institution and are
responsible for:
- Identification and screening of borrowers
- Disbursal
- Collecting Repayments
- Evaluation and loan utilisation.
Rang De field partners are identified, screened and selected after a
due diligence process. The due diligence involves the following steps:
- In principle agreement to the terms and conditions of a Rang
De partnership.
- Adherance to the mission and vision of Rang De.
- Meeting the statutory requirements
- Mandatory field trip by Rang De team
- Signing of the partnership agreement
Apart from meeting the above requirements, the Rang De field partners
must adhere to:
- Reaching out to new territories, especially those areas and
people they have not reached out to.
- Cannot charge beyond the interest rate that has been fixed
by Rang De. This could vary based on the product.
- Facilitate field trips and evaluation trips for Rang De team
members and volunteers.
- Remain transparent about interest rates and their processes.
