It is one voice - Exponential & Meaningful Growth for Rang De
Recently at Rang De's first board meeting, there was a unanimous voice from everyone present-Exponential and Meaningful Growth for Rang De in the next one year. With the completion of one year, the board members will now actively involve themselves in helping the team in achieving these targets. Not only do we want to grow but we want to ensure that our intervention makes an impact.
With our board members getting more active - all this suddenly seems more doable than ever!!

| An ardent fan speaks ... |
Pradeep and his team from Niyati Technologies make everything we do 'look' good. Here he expresses what can make us feel good too.
Who's the strongest of them all?
By K Pradeep
So the real-life version of the story goes like this. It was the final
class of Ethics - a course that was mandatory for every student
passing out of Loyola in Chennai (I am not sure if it continues to be
mandatory now). The Professor asked the students to identify the
strongest element on earth. And phat came the reply, Iron! But then
Fire could melt iron, a friend quipped.
From thereupon, every element we identified had a killer and a stronger element. Water can put away fire. The Sun can evaporate
water. The clouds can hide the Sun. Winds can move clouds. And
mountains could be the biggest barrier to winds. But mankind, with all
might, can bring down mountains. So is mankind the strongest of them
all?
While we were thinking aloud, the professor asked us to do some
self-introspection or soul searching. The reactions continued. Mankind
was after all not the strongest element. How much ever hard the man
works and tirelessly earns, Sleep overcomes him (or her). What can
then kill sleep? Fear!
So what is it that can overcome fear, give you a sound sleep, making
you a stronger man who can move mountains, cross winds, rise up and
reach for the stars? While we were left wonder-struck with this last
dose of ethics, the Professor made his closing remark - The Strongest
of them all, my friends, is Kindness.
I am no spiritual guru. But I have often been bitten
by the spiritual bug that has made me emerge stronger during difficult
situations. They say there are rules and laws of the nature that guide
us in our path to success and glory. And many of us are unknowingly
following it. It really doesn't matter how strong you are? It really
matters how kind you are? I wonder if that was how the word "mankind"
came into being!

Raining Orders
Ratnamala already had the basic know how of running a small business. She had set up a small outlet with an STD telephone booth and photocopying facilities, which fetched a decent income. This gave Ratnamala the confidence to go in for a loan, to buy a screen printing machine. Her new venture gives her an additional 800 to 1000 rupees every month. “I manage both, the STD booth and the screen printing” beams Ratnamala, “In fact I may do screen printing full time, as it is really doing well and orders are pouring in.”
Not only is Ratnamala able to pay back her loan with ease, but also manages to save a little.

Self help the best help
Nazia Khan shows immense maturity for a woman so young. The youngest in a family of eight, she is the only one who has a fixed income. Her father is a daily wage earner, but the money is spent on alcohol, long before he comes home.
Nazia knew that she would have to wear the pants in the house. She used the loan to buy a sewing machine with embroidery features and takes on orders to stitch salwar suits and embroidery work. She has even put up a sign-board at the street corner and has started earning fairly well.
She now plans to teach other girls in the locality the same skills and hopes to make a difference in their lives too.
